Leisurely breakfast, your off Britt-Inger's library, then off to Föllinge. Driving tour of the forests owned by Mats and Ulf (separately), who have quite different approaches to managing them, so very interesting. Ulf is planting the little fir trees in there picture to replant where trees have been harvested. Haven't seen Ulf yet, though he was somewhere in the forest. Then a little fiddling before bed.
Ola took us on a wonderful driving tour of the mountains and ski areas, pointing out where various famous fiddlers live(d). We saw reindeer, had a picnic lunch beside a waterfall, went to one of the highest points in Sweden (on a road, and yes, that's snow), and saw the remains of a fortification from 1658 when Sweden prepared to defend itself against Norway (but that attack never happened). Home for naps, dinner and some fiddling.
Nice breakfast: Anders ran out to his favorite bread bakery before we were even vertical! Eaten the Swedish way with butter and cold cuts. Then to the National Museum for a wonderful visit. The art is laid out on a timeline so you can really see the evolution of style over time. (Yes, we actually saw that well-known painting Zorn painting. This took most off the day, but nice walk home, which included going by this 1600's bell tower. Then time for a nap, some fiddling and a nice dinner.
